Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a game developer who will be responsible for developing Interactive casino games in C++, C# (experience in XNA is a bonus)
As a core technology team member you will be responsible for the creation of the software for game-related products. This position should demonstrate a high degree of initiative and is accountable for the timely completion and thorough implementation of all tasks assigned to you.
You will participate in the development of software engineering / technical solutions that meet established product specifications and functionality
Main responsibilities include:
• Deliver quality work with clear, well-commented code as scheduled in accordance with technical design and product requirements
• Contribute to development of interfaces, libraries and utilities
• Engineer new code as well as debug, maintain, and enhance an existing code base
• Develop understanding of software implementation plans and game development strategies
• Remain current on competitive products and solutions through independent research
Applicant's Qualifications:
Object Oriented Programming
• Min 8 years C/C++ development experience that demonstrates and understanding and usage of solid-coding techniques, documentation, and the overall technical integrity of a code-base including portability, extensibility, and testability
• Additional C# experience preferred
Software Design
• Strong ability to interpret and work with existing undocumented code and logic
• Good understanding of interface design and user interaction
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (v6 and 200x)
• Experience with source-code control methodologies and software: Visual SourceSafe, CVS, Clear-Case, etc.
• Game development experience a plus but not required
• Familiarity with graphic APIs preferred (Direct X, Open GL, etc)
• Proven ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to work in a deadline driven environment and respond creatively to pressure
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills
