Job Summary:

Our client is searching for an individual with at least 1 year experience in search engine optimization of a large website in a competitive environment with the proven ability to achieve top search engine rankings.

This role will ensure conformity with search engine best practices. In addition, the SEO Specialist will be responsible for:

• Implementing link development strategies.
• Strategic link building development
• Tracking of and reporting on traffic and search engine rankings in regards to relevant properties and keywords
• Monitoring of the product space on the web to determine trends and identify or modify targets for search engine optimization

Main responsibilities include:

• Requesting links from quality websites in a particular niche.
• Online distribution of promotional articles and press releases.
• Directory submissions
• Adding and/or deleting links on assigned websites.
• Community building via blogs and forums.
• Support search engine optimization initiatives (SEO).
• Developing relationships online with webmasters, bloggers, etc.
• Research and analyze competitor advertising links
• Maintaining detailed documentation about specific activities.

Applicant's Qualifications:

• Knowledge of HTML and related web-based technologies
• Understand the major factors that influence search crawlability, indexing and keyword ranking.
• CSS, Flash, PHP, ASP & Javascript an asset but not required
• Knowledge of best practices for organic search engine optimization
• Ability to work independently and within tight deadlines
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to discuss complex SEO concepts with clients of less expertise
