Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Media, you will have responsibility for operational success of our client’s key web sites, by leading the coordination of site development activities between the Product and Technology groups, and by ensuring that all sites perform to agreed standards to deliver on traffic and financial goals.

Main responsibilities include:

Operational Excellence
• Ensure excellence in the deployment and maintenance of all ad serving and web analytic tagging, coding and performance on all sites. Work with the technology team to ensure proper integration and execution and to identify environmental and application modifications to improve performance and availability.

• Establish, oversee and report on website standards, quality assurance, new product and design acceptance
o Develop and maintain tools to automate the deployment and performance monitoring processes
o Conduct and refine benchmarks, develop tools for performance monitoring and analyze and report the results
o Document processes, procedures and performance specifications
o Assist the Product team in diagnosing and correcting performance related issues
o Pro-actively monitor systems and pre-emptively address issues
• Oversee site information architecture and actively participate in the implementation of new product designs
• Work with QA Manager to ensure rigorous user acceptance testing as necessary to assure rollouts meet all required specifications
• Continuously optimize site operations, efficient workflow processes and site performance

Product Planning and Implementation
• Actively participate in the product development process to ensure consistency in standards that support superior customer experiences and that business objectives are achievable
• Lead Product Planning team to act as key coordination focal point between stakeholders in Product Development and Technology teams
• Work collaboratively with Technology team to set schedules for all site development work and continuously update project priorities, keeping Technology resources aware of those changes and keeping Product team up-to-date on the status of anticipated deliverables
• Maintain a solid overview of the site development pipeline and work closely with Product Managers and Technology team to execute upon the pipeline.
• Collaborate with the Technology, QA, and Product management teams to resolve problems, determine solutions, track and manage issues, and escalating to management when appropriate.

Financial
• Develop and manage operations budget and provide regular reporting to senior management. Accountable for the financial and operating results of the department
• Negotiate agreements with service providers and manage the relationships

Applicant's Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of related work experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced Web environment.
• Solid understanding of Internet technical protocols such as HTML, JavaScript, XML, web publishing, and database structure.
• Proven track record in delivering projects from the requirements analysis phase through the implementation cycle and be able to provide performance measures of success.
• Experience leading the implementation of process improvements.
• Proven experience in web production and software releases, with a solid understanding of online technology is required
• Experience with Omniture, DFP, Maximine is an asset
• Ability to clearly communicate with and persuasively present to a wide variety of audiences is required.
• Ability to perform well in a deadline driven, rapidly changing team environment.
