Whether you're an interview pro or going out for your first interview here are a few helpful hints.

1. Make sure you have the correct directions and know the interview time and date.
2. Dress appropriately for the environment.
3. Show up early. Scope out the people and the place.
4. Take three copies of your resume or enough to give to everyone you will meet plus one for yourself.
5. Watch your body language. Give a firm but not crushing handshake. Make eye contact with whoever you are speaking to. Never slouch and lean slightly forward when you are listening. Never cross your arms.
6. When answering questions about your previous positions bring the interviewer up to speed on your roles, accomplishments and situations you have been in.
7. Talk about your career goals.
8. Talk about setting roots and looking long term
9. Show that you have knowledge of the company and what they do. Look at their website and Google them to see what you can learn.
10. The Interview is a two-way street make sure you ask questions.
11. If at the end of the interview you are interested in the position, let the interviewer know.
